His books have been translated into Polish, Arabic and Spanish.

John’s other titles ‘The Interview Expert’ and ‘Just The Job!’ were published in 2011 and 2013. His latest book is ‘Secrets of Resilient People’, published in August 2014.
John has written a weekly column for Metro, and is a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review online .
His clients include The British Council, Career Management Consultants Ltd, CIPD, HBOS, The House of Commons, HSBC, Imperial College, Orange, REC, The Association of MBAs, Lloyds Banking Group, Marks & Spencer, Reed, Reuters, and Tribal, as well as business schools across the UK.

Presentations will also be made by Regener8 ECR alumni now in the early stages of their careers following a successful ECR stint, in a quick-fire ‘How I moved on (life after ECRing)’; plus a section of presentations on best practice in outreach.

1-to-1 bookable CV clinics and mentoring will be available with our speakers, coaches, and representatives from the careers centre and industry across the two days of partner event MEIbioeng15.

Our previous Regener8 career event, which was held in Birmingham in February 2014, was attended by 55 MSc, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from 12 universities. This year, as part of the MEIbioeng15 conference, the opportunity to take part is being widened to include participants from not only those with a regenerative medicine focus, but any post-graduate researcher with an interest in medical engineering, bioengineering and biomedical engineering.

Register

Registration is essential and free to attendees of MEIbioeng15: the largest ever UK gathering of Biomedical Engineers, Bioengineers and Medical Engineers, with participants from leading academic centres and the Med Tech industry.

Regener8 and the EPSRC-funded Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Regenerative Medicine is delighted to announce a new event designed for PhD students and early career researchers.

The careers awareness event will be held on Wednesday 26th February in Birmingham where attendees will hear from speakers who undertake roles that are of direct relevance to regenerative medicine. • Industrial business development
  • Industrial research
  • Regulation
  • Technology Transfer
  • Clinical environments
  • Start-up companies
  • Academic fellowships

A CV clinic will be held as part of the event, where attendees will be given feedback by industrial and academic mentors. Advice will be available on how to improve CVs and how to tailor CVs towards specific roles in our industry. CV clinic slots will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, with early registrations more likely to receive more than one CV mentoring slot (subject to CV mentor availability), so do register early.

An attendance fee of £15 applies.
