Proof of Concept Fund launched by Arthritis Research UK

Date: October 16, 2017

Arthritis Research UK, the biggest funder of research into the cause, treatment and cure of all forms of arthritis in the UK, and the Medical Technologies Innovation and Knowledge Centre, have joined together to offer proof of concept funding to progress research ideas with commercial potential.

The Proof of Concept Awards will provide support with funding of up to £100,000 to accelerate exciting innovations that support the lives of people with musculoskeletal conditions.

Proposals will be accepted from scientists, clinicians and allied health care professionals at eligible UK institutions; collaborations with industry are also welcomed. Applications will be judged on the clinical need, potential market opportunity and industry confidence to progress and support the technology to market.

The charity has joined forces again with the national Medical Technologies Innovation and Knowledge Centre to access expertise in product development, speeding up route to market and reducing the risk of late stage failure.

Deadline: expressions of interest by 11 December 2017
