As activities begin to step-up again after the summer, we are as keen as ever to build the UK regenerative devices community with advice, expertise and support. The priorities of the Medical Technologies IKC remain as enabling the commercialisation of UK science base – particularly for the regenerative devices sector, supporting businesses to start and grow, and developing skills to help people and businesses thrive.

A collaborative approach to translational research is the foundation of a successful partnership between the IKC and Arthritis Research UK. This year, five new projects have been awarded Proof of Concept funding and project support.

MedTech BEST (Business and Entrepreneurial Skills Training) is about taking research into the marketplace (translation). Participants on the course learn about the skills, evidence, and regulations needed and the challenges likely to be encountered along this pathway.
